top and skirt from forever 21
Yesterday I attended a charity event by The Promise Society to help support a good cause. I sponsored the event by offering restaurant packages to Sato's Japanese Restaurant. There was also a bit of volunteering in selling raffle tickets, which was way more fun with a few drinks (and no, I'm not an alcoholic). Attending these events are always fun because you can throw on a cute little dress you don't wear often. My outfit was put together at the very last minute, actually, and thank god it worked out well. One can never go wrong with all black anyway.
The entire outfit is from Forever 21. You do not need a $100 dress to look put together. I never believed it to be the brand or the money that makes you look good, but your personal style that really makes you stand out. For those broke college students like me, this is a great way to save the heartache of your wallet while still dressing chic.
