Harriman Park (Bearback Mountain hiking area)
I'm finally home after a long and tiring day of adventures.
We woke up at 7:00am to get ready and headed out of the house by 7:30am to pick up our friends. Our friend was nice enough to get us food from the bakery for our trip there. Thanks guys! After an hour drive, we arrived around 10:00am, did an ice breaker to introduce everyone, and we were off on our journey. The main point of this hike was to reach the lake so we can take a quick dip and I was super excited about this. I love swimming in natural made swimming pools. It feels amazing and is so relaxing. I stayed in the water for a good hour because it felt that good. There were fish swimming in there too, which totally freaked me out, but they grew on me... a little. Swimming at the lake was the highlight of the entire hike but the walk back down was a hell hole for my toes. My toes are so sore right now, you have no idea.
After returning to the starting point, the group said our goodbyes and went off on our separate ways. In our car, we decided to head over to Woodbury, an outlet (for those who don't know). My feet were really tired at this point but I guess I don't have any self control when it comes to shopping and went anyway. I didn't buy anything but by the time we headed back home, it was already 10:00pm. Spending an entire day out and about is seriously tiring. I also forgot to mention that I had pulled an all nighter because I couldn't fall asleep. So no sleep, out of the house by 7:30am, constant walking from 10:00am to 7:30pm, hanging out at a friends house until 10:00pm, and finally coming home to my sweet, sweet bed. What a day.
